Filling Spaces is a phrase from one of my newest poems, which says in it:
I am also a writer, if that wasn't obvious enough
Pen to paper, filling spaces, ideas flowing, mind speeding
Faster than my pen can write
And Filling Spaces is, for me, a lot about just getting something down, anything down. When I first joined poetry club at my school, I was really intimidated by all the beautiful poems my peers were coming up with. It took me a few weeks, but I realized that they didn't get that way over night, they had to fill a lot of space before they came to be this way, scratch out a lot of really crappy sentences, and work through a lot of stuff. I hope this can be the place where I can fill that space, work on my abilities.
